Stress Treatment One to One
Stress effects people in similar ways but it is all to do with our own way of viewing the world. As has been said before, some situations for some people are stressful. For example I have just watched Lewis Hamilton, at 21 years of age, come 3rd in the British Grand Prix. For me driving around a motor circuit at speeds up to 180 mph. would be too much. For the young Lewis it is his way of expressing his nature.
However I am sure that there are some situations in which he would find he is stressed, even if it is just a little.
So for one to one sessions the first point is what exactly is going on with you.
What is it that is causing you stress, work, home life, a relationship, or something that is unique to you?
Whatever it is we will discuss it in order to understand it. For each person it will be unique.
From this base then two simultanious processes will begin.
To remove the links to past stressful experiences so that they no longer influence your current state of mind.
Teach you new ways to react to the normal everday stresseors that effect us all. In fact how to use your stress creatively.
How many sessions will you need? That does depend upon the levels of stress that you are experiencing. For most people four sessions will show good progress. With deeper and more complex cases up to eight sessions will be required.
